Teltronic, cutting edge communication solutions for transport sector

Backed by over 40 years of experience in the design, manufacturing, and implementation of digital and analog land mobile radio (LMR) projects worldwide on a turnkey basis, Teltronic presents a broad portfolio of critical communication solutions for the transportation.

Current voice and short critical data communication needs are covered by narrowband digital technologies, such as TETRA, which offer high reliability. However, the transport sector is seeing increasing demand for greater data capacity. Tramways, metros, buses and railways all demand communication systems which enhance operational management and safety, as well as the quality of service for passengers.

This is why Hytera subsidiary Teltronic, a manufacturer of professional radiocommunication equipment, is now complementing its existing TETRA-based offering with a new product line focused on LTE. The Spanish company provides TETRA, TETRA and LTE hybrid solutions and pure broadband LTE. Such innovation is guided by the high levels of availability and security required by mission critical users.

Teltronic provides solutions for a variety of applications used in the daily running of a transport service, such as passenger information systems, voice dispatching, signalling data, real-time surveillance, and passenger internet. This evolved infrastructure will be ready for the Internet of Things, which will improve passenger experience, operational efficiency and maintenance activities.

Teltronic has already provided its complete solution, including infrastructure, radios and integrated command & control, to some large projects. Its TETRA+LTE infrastructure, eNEBULA, provides uninterrupted real-time video monitoring which, in combination with the mission-critical capabilities of the existing TETRA network, significantly boosts security on metros and tramways. The eNEBULA system has also demonstrated that it’s possible to expand a TETRA network to a hybrid TETRA+LTE solution easily and without disruption to end users.
