| Indien. Die letzte von zwei Herrenknecht-Einfachschild-TBM hat Ende Juni 2025 erfolgreich ihren Vortrieb für die neue Bahnlinie zwischen Rishikesh und Karnaprayag im indischen Himalaya abgeschlossen. Bereits Mitte April war die erste Maschine am Ziel angekommen. Damit sind beide Parallelröhren des insgesamt über 20 km langen Tunnelsystems fertiggestellt.

| India. In late June 2025, the last of two Herrenknecht Single Shield TBMs successfully completed its drive for the new railway line between Rishikesh and Karnaprayag in the Indian Himalayas. The first machine had already reached its destination in mid-April. Now both parallel tubes of the more than 20-kilometer-long tunnel system are complete.

Die unterirdische Stromautobahn für Berlin nimmt Gestalt an: In nur zwei Jahren und neun Monaten hat die Tunnelbohrmaschine „Candela“ nach fast 7 Kilometern 20–30 m tief im Berliner Untergrund ihr Ziel erreicht: das Umspannwerk Mitte. The underground electricity highway for Berlin is taking shape: In just two years and nine months, the “Candela” tunnel boring machine has reached its destination after almost 7 kilometers 20–30 m deep underground in Berlin: the Mitte substation. This completes the tunnel drive for the first section of the 380 kV cable diagonal in Berlin.

| | A major milestone for HS2: all four Herrenknecht Tunnel Boring Machines
have successfully completed the 13.52 km Northolt Tunnel. The machines
excavated over 4.16 million tonnes and installed 14,300 concrete
rings. Due to high water pressure at Green Park Way, the TBMs were
safely retrieved using a pressurised reception can method – ensuring a
secure and efficient finish to this engineering masterpiece.

| | Mit neuer Rezeptur beschleunigt StoPox WB 50 von StoCretec Baustellenabläufe. Das Epoxidharz ist für die Spachtelung und partielle Reprofilierung von Tunnelinnenschalen konzipiert, eignet sich aber auch, um Betonbauteile zu schützen und instand zu setzen. StoPox WB 50 wird direkt auf den vorbereiteten Untergrund aufgetragen. Eine Nachbehandlung ist nicht notwendig. Mit seiner kurzen Verarbeitungszeit und raschen Aushärtung reduziert er notwendige Sperrungen der Verkehrsbauten auf ein Minimum.

| | | Polen. Die 3. Internationale PIARC-Konferenz zum Betrieb und zur Sicherheit von Straßentunneln findet im Oktober 2026 in Krakau statt. Die dritte Ausgabe dieser Veranstaltung befasst sich mit den wichtigsten Aspekten der Planung, des Entwurfs und des Baus von Straßentunneln. Der Schwerpunkt liegt dabei auf Sicherheit, Betrieb und Instandhaltung. Bis zum 15. Oktober 2025 nimmt PIARC Abstracts von Fachleuten aus den verschiedenen Phasen des Tunnellebenszyklus entgegen – darunter Vertreter von Straßenverwaltungen, Planer, Forschende, Ingenieure, Bauunternehmer, Lieferanten und Verantwortliche für den Betrieb, die Instandhaltung oder die Sicherheit von Tunneln.

| Poland. The 3rd PIARC International Conference on Road Tunnel Operations and Safety will take place in Cracow in October 2026. The third edition of this event will explore key aspects of road tunnel planning, design, and construction, with a strong focus on safety, operation, and maintenance. Until 15th October 2025 PIARC accepts abstract submissions from a wide range of professionals involved in any phase of the tunnel lifecycle — including representatives of road administrations, designers, researchers, engineers, contractors, suppliers, and those responsible for tunnel operation, maintenance, or safety.
