| Deutschland. Die Tunnelbauaktivitäten in Deutschland zum Jahreswechsel 2024/25 umfassen 40 Verkehrstunnelprojekte mit insgesamt rund 83 km und stagnieren damit auf einem historisch niedrigen Niveau. Das Volumen an projektierten Verkehrstunneln beläuft sich zum Berichtszeitpunkt auf 156 Einzelprojekte mit einer Gesamtauffahrlänge von 659 km.

At the time of reporting, the volume of planned transport tunnels amounts to 156 individual projects with a total length of 659 km.

| | Vom 16. bis 17. Juni 2026 wird das KKL Luzern wieder zum Zentrum der internationalen Tunnelbauwelt. Am 16. Juni befasst sich das Kolloquium mit dem Thema «Neueste Entwicklungen und aktuelle Projekte im Bereich maschinelle Tunnelvortriebe, Microtunneling und Rohrvortriebe». Am 17. Juni folgt der Kongresstag mit beachtenswerten Projekten im In- und Ausland. Abgerundet wird die Tagung am 18. Juni durch spannende Fachexkursionen zu aktuellen Grossprojekten.

| Deutschland. Der Ausbau und die Modernisierung der internationalen Bahnverbindung Stuttgart–Zürich gewinnen an Fahrt. Die Deutsche Bahn hat am 9. Februar 2026 mit den Vorarbeiten für den Vortrieb des Pfaffensteigtunnels begonnen. Nördlich des Flughafens Stuttgart und der Autobahn A8 laufen die Erdarbeiten auf der zentralen Baustelleneinrichtungsfläche. Erst kürzlich hatten Bund und Bahn die Finanzierungsvereinbarung für den Pfaffensteigtunnel geschlossen; im Dezember 2025 hatte das Eisenbahn-Bundesamt (EBA) die Baugenehmigung für den Großteil des Projekts erteilt.

| Germany. The expansion and modernization of the international Stuttgart–Zurich rail link is gaining momentum. On February 9, 2026, Deutsche Bahn began preparatory work for the excavation of the Pfaffensteig Tunnel. North of Stuttgart Airport and the A8 motorway, earthworks are underway at the central construction site. The German government and Deutsche Bahn recently concluded the financing agreement for the Pfaffensteig Tunnel, and in December 2025; the Federal Railway Authority (EBA) granted the building permit for the majority of the project.

| Dänemark/Deutschland. Die Vorbereitung des Spezialschiffs IVY, das eine Schlüsselrolle beim Bau des Fehmarnbelt-Tunnels spielt, stand laut Informationen der Projektgesellschaft Femern A/S Ende Januar 2026 von kurz vor dem Abschluss. Die Zulassung des Absenkpontons liegt damit fast zwei Jahre hinter dem ursprünglichen Zeitplan. Aktuell wird der Tunnelgraben für das Absenken vorbereitet. Der Graben wird an die Elemente angepasst.

According to information from the project company Femern A/S, preparations for the special ship IVY, which plays a key role in the construction of the Fehmarn Belt Tunnel, were nearing completion at the end of January 2026.The approval of the immersion pontoon is almost two years behind the original schedule. The first part of the tunnel trench is currently being prepared for immersion.
