| Deutschland. Am 22. Juni erfolgte beim Tunnelbau der Elbquerung ElbX im Auftrag von TenneT Germany und gemeinsam mit den Projektpartnern der Durchschlag. Die von Porr realisierten Tunnelbauarbeiten im Rahmen des Großprojekts SuedLink verbinden auf einer Länge von rund 5,2 Kilometern Schleswig-Holstein und Niedersachsen. Die Elbquerung zählt zu den Schlüsselabschnitten der Stromtrasse, die künftig erneuerbare Energie vom Norden in den Süden Deutschlands transportiert.

| Germany. On 22 June, the breakthrough took place in the construction of the ElbX tunnel across the Elbe, carried out on behalf of TenneT Germany and in collaboration with the project partners. The tunnel construction work carried out by Porr as part of the large-scale SuedLink project connects Schleswig-Holstein and Lower Saxony over a distance of around 5.2 kilometres. The Elbe crossing is one of the key sections of the power line, which will in future transport renewable energy from the north to the south of Germany.

Die Seequent-Software „Leapfrog Works“ ermöglicht eine dynamische 3D-Geologiemodellierung, während sich mit „Plaxis“ dreidimensionale Finite-Elemente-Analysen durchführen lassen. Manuel Aukenthaler ist Segment Marketing Manager, Civil von Seequent. Im tunnel-Interview hat er erläutert, wie beide Anwendungen im Zusammenspiel und integriert in einen digitalen Zwilling bei Planung, Bau und Betrieb von Tunneln über den gesamten Lebenszyklus zum Einsatz kommen.

Seequent’s “Leapfrog Works” software enables dynamic 3D geological modelling, while “Plaxis” allows for three-dimensional finite element analysis. Manuel Aukenthaler is Segment Marketing Manager, Civil, at Seequent. In an interview with tunnel, he explained how both applications are used in conjunction with each other and can be integrated into a digital twin for the planning, construction, and operation of tunnels throughout their entire lifecycle.

| Österreich. Vom 8. bis zum 9. Oktober findet im Kongresszentrum „Salzburg Congress“ das 75. Geomechanik Kolloquium der Österreichischen Gesellschaft für Geomechanik (ÖGG) statt. Das diesjährige Kolloquium ist Univ.-Prof. Dipl.-Ing. Dr. techn. Gerhard Seeber (1925–2025) gewidmet, der Generationen von Ingenieuren im Kraftwerksbau geprägt hat. Am Freitag, 7. Oktober wird im Salzburger Kongresszentrum zudem der 15. Österreichische Tunneltag abgehalten.

| Austria. From 8 to 9 October, the 75th Geomechanics Colloquium of the Austrian Society for Geomechanics (ÖGG) will take place at the “Salzburg Congress” conference centre. This year’s colloquium is dedicated to Prof. Gerhard Seeber (1925–2025), who has shaped generations of engineers in the field of power station construction. On Friday 7 October, the 15th Austrian Tunnel Day will also be held at the Salzburg Congress Centre.

| Deutschland. Am 21. April 2027 wird eine neue Auflage des Münsteraner Tunnelbau-Kolloquiums an der Fachhochschule in Münster stattfinden. Die ganztägige Fachveranstaltung unter der Leitung von Prof. Dr. Dietmar Mähner bietet vielfältige und praxisnahe Beiträge aus allen Bereichen des Tunnelbaus von der Planung über die Ausführung bis hin zu Instandhaltung, Sicherheit und Digitalisierung. Expertinnen und Experten aus Wissenschaft, Verwaltung und Praxis berichten über aktuelle Projekte, innovative Verfahren und neue Entwicklungen in Normung und Regelwerk.
Das Programm wird in Kürze auf der Veranstaltungswebsite veröffentlicht werden; die Anmeldung ist ab dem 15. Januar 2027 möglich.
