| Vereinigtes Königreich. National Grid, der Betreiber des Übertragungsnetzes in England und Wales, baut sein Hochspannungsnetz im Rahmen des Projekts „The Great Grid Upgrade“ aus. Ein Schlüsselprojekt ist ein 2200 m langer Kabeltunnel unter der Themse von Gravesend nach Tilbury. Anfang Mai 2026 hat eine Herrenknecht-Tunnelbohrmaschine vom Typ Mixschild den Vortrieb aufgenommen. Start- und Zielschacht für den Kabeltunnel werden mit Europas größter Schachtabsenkanlage, gleichfalls von Herrenknecht, erstellt. Mit dem Bau des Kabeltunnels für das 400 kV Hochspannungskabel hat National Grid das Joint Venture Ferrovial Bemo (Ferrovial Construction und Bemo Tunnelling UK Ltd.) beauftragt.

| United Kingdom. National Grid, the transmission system operator in England and Wales, is expanding its high-voltage grid as part of The Great Grid Upgrade. A key project is a 2200 m long cable tunnel under the Thames from Gravesend to Tilbury. Herrenknecht supplied a tunnel boring machine for the project, which began tunnelling at the start of May 2026. The launch and reception shafts for the cable tunnel were constructed using Europe’s largest shaft sinking system, also supplied by Herrenknecht. National Grid awarded the contract for the construction of the cable tunnel for the 400 kV high-voltage cable to the joint venture Ferrovial Bemo (Ferrovial Construction and Bemo Tunnelling UK Ltd.).

| Dänemark. Das zweite Element für den Fehmarnbelt-Tunnel ist nun abgesenkt und liegt im zuvor ausgehobenen Tunnelgraben. Am Dienstagabend, 23. Juni 2026, begannen fünf Schlepper das mehr als 73 500 Tonnen schwere Betonelement gemeinsam mit dem Spezialschiff IVY in den Fehmarnbelt zu transportieren. Dort wurde es über dem Tunnelgraben mithilfe von Stahlseilen präzise in Position gebracht. In der Nacht zum Freitag begann das eigentliche Absenken, am Samstagmorgen lag das Element schließlich korrekt positioniert auf dem Meeresboden im Tunnelgraben.

| Denmark. The second element for the Fehmarnbelt Tunnel has been installed on the seabed. Operations commenced on Tuesday evening, 23 June 2026, when the 73 500-tonne concrete element was towed out into the Fehmarnbelt. Five tugboats transported the element to the tunnel trench, where it was manoeuvred into position with pinpoint accuracy using steel wires. Immersion began during the night into Friday, and by Saturday morning the element was in place on the seabed.

Im Rahmen des Göteborger Projekts West Link (Västlänken) hat das schwedische Amt für Verkehrsverwaltung (Trafikverket) im Juni 2026 den Ausführungsauftrag „E16 Korsvägen Station“ an Implenia vergeben. Der Auftrag hat ein Volumen von über 270 Millionen Euro und soll im Rahmen eines Cost-plus-Vertragsmodells ausgeführt werden. Der Auftrag umfasst den Bau der Station Korsvägen, einer von drei U-Bahn-Stationen des Projekts West Link.

As part of the West Link (Västlänken) project in Gothenburg, the Swedish Transport Administration (Trafikverket) in June 2026 awarded the execution contract for “E16 Korsvägen Station” to Implenia. The contract is worth more than 270 million euros in a cost-plus reimbursement model. The contract comprises the construction of Korsvägen Station, one of three underground stations within the West Link project.
