Stefan Frenzel joins cv management as our new Senior Vice President Sales. Stefan has a wealth of experience in secure electronic identity solutions, working at Cherry, HID Global and most recently Distec GmbH. Stefan, who is married with a daughter and a son and a cat, is a passionate runner and avoids sweets. His shoe size is 45, and on his mouse pad an Audi convertible for when he isn’t using his feet to get places. Check here for more information.

Marco Smeja, cryptovision’s former Vice-President of Sales, has been promoted to Chief Sales Officer and second Managing Director along with Markus Hoffmeister. In addition to direction of sales, Marco assumes leadership of consulting services and human ressources, as well as the legal department. Outside of the office, Marco collects and restores classic Vespa scooters which he rides on long distance tours to join rallies all over Europe.

| Dr. Mikhail Gordeev has joined the cryptovision product marketing department. Mikhail is a expert in the field of hardware-based security with two decades of experience in various positions at Austria Card. Mikahil, who is married with one daughter and a dog, loves alpine skiing and Spaghetti Bolognese. His shoe size is 44, and he uses a mousepad with a picture of a microchip on it.

GreenShield Suite now also with VS-NfD approval for Notes.
Dealing with VS-NfD classified data is much when it can be sent by e-mail. However, doing so is only permitted with a VS-NfD-approved encryption solution. cryptovision’s GreenShield is one of the few products on the market that meets this requirement for Outlook and now HCL Notes clients, which was previously marketed as Lotus and IBM Notes. In addition to being particularly user-friendly, GreenShield also enables central administration with support for different BSI-approved smart card types.

Securing cash registers: cryptovision-TSE certified
A new German legal directive, the Kassensicherungsverordnung, also known as KassenSichV (Cash Register Security Ordinance), requires retailers and restaurateurs to equip their point of sale devices with new technology that prevents tax fraud, specifically a so-called Technical Security Device (TSE). A TSE is a cryptographic security module that needs to be certified according to specifications created by the German Federal Office for Information Security (BSI).

| Identity Week goes Digital

| While many of the trade shows and expositions planned for 2020 have been cancelled due to the COVID-19 pandemic, some events have been transferred to a digital format. For instance, cryptovision will take part in the Digital Identity Week, an online live gathering held from November 16-18, 2020. | As a recipient of the Director’s Update, you are already a member of club cv. As club cv evolves, cryptovision is introducing Volume and Strategic Partners. Volume Partners will recognized in three tiers Silver, Gold, and Platinum, with status being awarded on revenue generated. Strategic Partners are distinguished by specific criteria based on product expertise and technology integration or the relevance for cryptovision’s business.
Like so many other gatherings, cryptovision’s 2020 Cryptonite parties unfortunately can’t take place in person due to pandemic precautions. Nevertheless we intend to keep the spirit alive by bringing a bit of the flavor to you literally and figuratively. Beginning in November, club cv is introducing quarterly virtual beer tastings. Participation is currently limited to club cv members in Europe who pre-register and attendance will be rotated so that everyone will have the chance to sample craft beers together online. Registration details will follow prior to the first online tasting.
