In March 2025 over 80 German institutions of higher education and research visited India. These institutions engaged in high level visits to Indian universities and research institutions in Hyderabad and New Delhi, the inauguration of the German School of Technology at PSG College of Technology in Coimbatore, the Indo-German Forum: Research, Innovation and Transfer, the DAAD Jubilee Celebrations in New Delhi, visits to select universities in Delhi NCR and participation at the APAIE conference.

DAAD's Secretary General Dr Kai Sicks, who was in India for the jubilee celebration, highlighted that, "The DAAD Regional Office New Delhi was the second branch office of the DAAD and the first one outside of Europe. Today, India remains a strong strategic partner of Germany".

“The Indo-German partnership in science and education is stronger than ever. It is one of the building blocks of our bilateral ties. We have almost 50,000 Indian students in Germany, the largest group of foreign students from any country. Indian scientists are contributing to our research landscape, with their talents, their ambitions, and their discoveries. It is a pleasure to see this exchange grow so dynamically, from year to year,” said Dr Philipp Ackermann, German Ambassador to India and Bhutan, during his welcome address.
