Each year, the DAAD supports outstanding students, researchers and faculty from India, Bangladesh, Nepal, and Sri Lanka with a wide range of scholarships – from short-term summer courses to full postgraduate and doctoral programmes.
This summer, we are honouring our scholarships holders through a series of Certificate Handing Over Ceremonies, co-organised and held in the presence of representatives from German Embassies, Consulates and partner institutions.

Ceremonies have already taken place in Banaras, Kolkata, Kathmandu, Colombo, Dhaka, and Bengaluru, with Chennai and Mumbai coming up soon.
We warmly congratulate all scholarship recipients on their achievement and welcome them to the vibrant global DAAD network! Interested in applying?

My Germany Story!

Vishal Gawale
Engineering, Masters
My academic journey began in India, but the allure of Germany’s cutting-edge technology and vibrant academic environment brought me here. The decision was driven by a combination of high-quality education, innovative research opportunities, and the chance to immerse myself in a new culture. The balance of rigorous academic challenges with the welcoming, multicultural atmosphere here has been truly enriching.
