With 124 million inhabitants, Mexico is the 11th largest country in the world in terms of population and the most important export market for the German capital goods industry in Central and South America. In 2019, machines and plants were sold to the country for around 2.5 billion euros.
 
Mexico is - ahead of Brazil - the twelfth-largest furniture producer in the world with an average growth rate of around 10 percent in recent years. The local Mexican furniture market is worth approximately 40 billion pesos, with an average annual growth rate of 3 percent.
 
The leading trade show MEM Industrial in Mexico City is aimed at exhibitors and visitors from the woodworking and woodprocessing, timber construction and furniture manufacturing and forestry sectors from Mexico, Central and South America. These target groups offer interesting opportunities for machinery and plant manufacturers and the accessories and fittings segment. The main topics of the MEM Industrial 2021 are digitalization, sustainability and design.
You have the option of participating individually or within the International Pavilion. At the last event, MEM 2020, over 230 international brands, including from Germany, Italy, Austria, Finland, Spain, China, USA and Brazil, presented themselves to more than 7,000 visitors.
