Dear Karin

The International Symposium on Automotive Lighting (ISAL) takes place every two years, hosted by the Laboratory of Adaptive Lighting Systems and Visual Processing of the Technical University Darmstadt. The symposium brings together industry experts for networking and discussions. It is also a source of information on the latest developments and research concerning automotive lighting.

Instrument Systems will be participating with a prominent booth, and presenting its high-end AMS Screen Imaging System based on the established AMS 5000 goniometer and LumiCam 2400B camera. We will also be showcasing our new LumiCam 4000B imaging photometer, with a live demonstration of even finer spatial light distribution measurement.

Spectral color measurement for automotive lighting

To meet the requirements of color measurement deviation in automotive lighting, we have complemented the AMS far-field goniometer system with a high-class CAS 140D spectroradiometer. The combination of two globally approved measurement systems guarantees highly reliable product approval tests, including all desired spectral analysis.

High-efficiency light measurement of heavy duty vehicle lamps
The AMS 5000 is the largest of the Optronik Line of Type A far field goniophotometers from Instrument Systems. For many years it has set the benchmark for precision photometry in the field of automotive exterior lighting. The sturdy instrument with a broad travel range and highly dynamic drives is the best choice for standard-compliant measurement of large and heavy headlamps and signal lamps up to 80 kg.

New: 12 MP for Automotive Quality Assurance
Light generating elements in the modern automotive cabin can be controlled with ever finer spatial control. To keep pace with this development, Instrument Systems introduces the LumiCam 4000B. It employs a 12 MP camera for 2D high resolution luminance and color measurements to detect defects on a sufficient level for demanding automotive quality assurance standards.

\\ AMS Screen Imaging System

Efficient testing of advanced headlamps

Instrument Systems presents a newly developed system for ultra-fast testing a wide range of lighting scenarios for advanced headlamps, e.g. HD / ADB / matrix / pixel headlamps. The AMS screen imaging system consists of a far field goniometer AMS 5000, a imaging photometer LumiCam 2400B and an illuminance meter and allows synchronized measurements for luminance and far field on a high level of accuracy. Supported by the extended LightCon software, compliance checks according to ECE / SAE / ICAO / FAA regulations as well as extensive graphical analysis are efficient to perform.
