Happy new year 2021 &
thanks for your trust
Dear Researcher,
During 2020 we have experienced tough times, but these adversities have brought us new reflections, new ways of doing some things and, of course, they have reaffirmed the importance of research work and its commitment to society.

Thank you very much for being there, looking for solutions, always thinking about improving and growing by building electrochemical sensors with Metrohm DropSens.

We wish you all the best in the coming 2021, may it be a year full of advances in your research for the progress and well-being of all, and may it also be prosperous and healthy for you and your close ones.
But we would like to remember several milestones of the year 2020...
Together going to outer space

Thanks to our colleagues researchers from University of Alicante and Puerto Rico, we have reached space and NASA’s ISS. They would make possible the recovery of water in spaceships and thus be able to carry out longer space missions with electrodes and flow-cells.

Together we have realized that this is more than an application to discover space. If it is efficient out there, it will be more efficient on Earth, and could supply water in remote and arid areas, making the Earth a better place.

Electrochemical testing for virus detection

With major global viral outbreaks becoming the norm rather than generational outliers, it is imperative that rapid, sensitive and cost-effective testing is available to the masses. Only through a concerted testing and tracing effort can viral outbreaks be effectively controlled before they turn into global pandemics.

Metrohm DropSens designs custom electrodes and offers a global and superior customer support and long expertise for projects at large scale providing instrumentation and products for research in this situation.

Modified screen-printed carbon electrodes

The modified electrodes section has grown considerably this year with new modifications: different particles, phthalocyanines and other materials like alizarin or phenanthroline, among others.

Adapting the advantages that these materials offer for many different applications to disposable electrodes has been a successfully achieved challenge.

We hope they help you improve your research.
