The ideal plain bearing for your requirements:
Special productions of KS PERMAGLIDE® plain bearing flange liners are created with a thrust washer and a bush through welding. This means that, depending on the requirement, different materials can be used for the bush and the cylindrical part of the flange liner, e.g. by combining a bush made from KS PERMAGLIDE® P200 and a thrust washer made from KS PERMAGLIDE® P14.
Depending on the axial or radial stress, flange liners with an individual wall thickness are required, which can also be manufactured as special production. Flange liners with individual dimensions can also be created in the liner flange area.

Scissor joints are used e.g. in lifting platforms, cranes, working platforms, trailer platforms, lifts and laboratory lifting platforms. The work area is lifted or lowered by the scissor joints in this case, for example.
The scissor joint consists of legs of equal length that move around a centre axis via plain bearings. Mainly static forces act on the bearings of the scissor joint. A rotary motion occurs in the joint during lifting or lowering.

The operational safety and durability of a maintenance-free or low-maintenance bearing position depend not only on the load collective and lubricant for low-maintenance bearing positions, but also on the material and surface of the interacting sliding part. The materials of the interacting sliding parts may exert a considerable influence on the wear properties and durability of the plain bearing.

KS Gleitlager GmbH recently opened a new centre of excellence for small volumes. The new centre’s core competence lies in specialisation on small volumes of tailored bearings and in fast delivery times. Bushes with a diameter of 2 to 600 millmetres, along with flange bushes and various high-precision plain bearings including strips, washers, segments and other designs are produced to meet specific customer requirements. For machining small volumes, the new department, which has an area of more than 700 square metres and is equipped with new production and testing facilities, has access to the entire range of plain bearing materials from the Kolbenschmidt and KS PERMAGLIDE® brands. The centre of excellence is based at the headquarters of KS Gleitlager GmbH in St. Leon-Rot.
