| ARTYSIO protects the environment | |
|
| As an innovative provider of functional packaging solutions, Sihl is committed to sustainability and to the production of materials which can be recycled.
With its "Made for Recycling" certificate Interseroh, an independent testing company, has confirmed the excellent recyclability of the two single-material packaging products made of polypropylene from Sihl’s ARTYSIO range. In the test, both products score 20 out of 20 possible points. The product’s ability to be classified in the collection system, its suitability for sorting, its suitability for mechanical recycling and the provision of secondary products to the collection system were examined.

| Sustainability for Enduro | |
|
| Products made of ENDURO are durable and hard-wearing. This is made possible by a special material composite with a film core enclosed by two layers of paper. This is how ENDURO combines the best properties of paper and film. It can be processed like paper, can be perfectly printed and written on, it is also resistant to edge tearing, it is robust, water impermeable and resistant to wet tearing.
ENDURO has a high paper content (depending on the application / type up to 80 %) and thus mainly consists of renewable raw materials. The proportion of film can be significantly reduced in comparison to fully synthetic products. This means only as much film as is necessary, but as little as possible!

| Label Expo 2019 – Sihl presented its new, sustainable FACESTOCK materials | |
|
| At this year's LabelExpo, Sihl once again put the focus on sustainability.
In its FACESTOCK product range, in Brussels SIHL presented a further development in the area of films for water-based inkjet printing.
Some Sihl FACESTOCK products also contribute to a reduction in environmental impact with weight savings of 20 % to 42 % compared to equivalent inkjet films, depending on the type of ink and film. In the production of selected FACESTOCK films, PET-based films with a post consumer recycling (PCR) share of up to 90 % can be used. Sihl FACESTOCK thus makes a contribution to invigorating the recycling of plastics.

| TriSolv – the self-adhesive billboard paper as an environmentally friendly alternative to PVC materials | |
|
| This multi-layer, coated, weather and water resistant paper with a gloss finish is suitable for the production of indoor and outdoor advertising boards and exhibition stand walls and can be printed with solvent, latex and UV-curing inks. It has a permanent, water-based acrylic adhesive and sticks to almost all smooth and clean surfaces.
TriSolv is FSC (Forest Stewardship Council) certified and is thus environmentally friendly. Compared to PVC materials, it does not contain any hazardous substances.
